Product DescriptionSPDP, a hetero-bifunctional reagent, is useful for bridging two different proteins, such as enzymes and antibodies. SPDP first reacts with a protein molecule through its amino groups. SPDP introduces a pyridyl disulfide moiety to the protein, which is then reduced by DTT to form thiol groups. These thiol groups then form a disulfide bond with another protein molecule thus yielding a heterodimer protein.
